The site is in an excellent location for Bowness with ample shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Only 5 minutes walk to town centre and lake. We were there for New Years Eve and there was a free party on site for the whole family with a free buffet. The site itself was lovely with a nice walk to the lake. Overall a nice relaxing New Years Break.

Bowness-On-Windermere is a town on the shores ofLake Windermere in Cumbria, England. Owing to its location right by the lake it has become extremely popular with visitors to the Lake District. It is situated near to Troutbeck, Windermere and Crook and is one of over 100 towns or villages in Cumbria in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest main cities are Lancaster (population 45,952), Carlisle (population 71,773), and Liverpool (which has a population of 469,017 according to the 2001 Census).
A visit here is well worth considering!
